AlTiN and TiAlN-based coatings can deliver unmatched heat and oxidation resistance even under high temperatures of nearly 900°C. They can decrease tool friction with minimal edge buildup.

1. ZOLLER G3 Tool Measurement: Used to perform the inspection of the geometry design of drilling tools, like diameter consistency and flute symmetry, ensuring their measurement capability of about ±2 μm.

JINOO’s drilling tools contain solid carbide drill bits, deep hole drill bits, step drill bits, and center drills.
Solid carbide drill bits can be applied to variable cutting conditions in general CNC machining and most hole-making applications.
Step drill bits and center drills can also be used to process accurate holes of multiple diameters. Each different drill has a specific cutting purpose, and solid carbide twist drills are perfect for general-purpose machining.
You must consider workpiece materials, hole depths, and cutting conditions for your machining.
For most of our drilling tools, we use durable tungsten carbide as a raw material. Combined with wear-resistant coatings (AITiN, Tin, PERTURA, HELICA, etc.), they can greatly increase heat and wear resistance.
Additionally, choose internal coolant drill bits with proper coating to enhance heat resistance if the workpiece materials are highly abrasive, such as fiberglass or composites.
Drilling tools’ geometry is also essential in the tool design. For hard materials, the point angle design should be flatter, approximately 135°, to prevent premature dulling. For soft materials, a sharper angle of 118° or less should be used.
In conclusion, tougher drill bits, usually made from carbide or cobalt, should be used for machining hard materials. For soft and layered materials, drilling tools with a sharper point angle and a unique tip should be used.
Carbide drilling tools are made from tungsten carbide to ensure the exceptional quality of our products.
High-speed steel (HSS) is a tough material commonly used in manufacturing drilling tools at lower prices, and HSS drill bits are suitable for drilling with less rigid setups.
Cobalt is the HSS mixed with a certain percentage of the cobalt alloy (typically between 5% and 8%), which is much harder and heat-resistant than regular HSS. Therefore, cobalt drilling tools can drill stainless steel and other hard steel without dulling quickly.
Deep hole drills are specialized for drilling holes with depth-to-diameter ratios of more than 10×D. Deep hole drills are commonly designed with internal coolant channels and optimized flutes to deliver smoother chip evacuation with less heat generation.
Solid carbide drill bits with durable coatings such as TiAlSiN or AITiN are ideal for machining stainless steel. They feature high heat resistance to further decrease the tool wear. We recommend you use solid carbide drill bits with internal coolant channels and optimized point angle design, enabling higher drilling stability in stainless steel machining.
